Employment
The K&L Center for Autism and Related Education (K&L C.A.R.E., Inc.) is among Southern California’s most experienced organizations effectively treating clients from age 5 to adulthood with autism and related disorders. With care and effort K&L C.A.R.E., Inc. touches the lives of the clients and their families to whom we provide services. Through a network of trained instructional aides, supervisors and researchers we develop and implement quality, comprehensive and personalized treatment programs which lead to success, and in many cases recovery.
Instructional Aides implement 1:1 Adaptive Skills programs to clients in their homes and serve as instructional shadows in college campus settings. Initially, all staff participates in a training program that provides instruction on Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, independent living skills, community integration, social skills development, and data collection techniques as deemed appropriate for the individually tailored programs being provided. All training is conducted by the Clinical Directors/Co-Founders of K&L C.A.R.E., Inc. as it is our effort to stay in touch with the daily struggles our families face through real life experience and dedication. Training opportunities continue throughout employment as our staff receives on-going supervision from professional consultants at K&L C.A.R.E., Inc. for each client with whom they work.
